my last Sports Day in secondary

we had a pretty simple one this year due to the bad condition of our field, aka lake. everything was less spirited except for one thing nobody likes.... the SUN. so we actually spent most of our time at the canteen, safe from the burning sun.

oh finally green house made it! not getting first from the back anymore.

a real BLAST!

it was actually yesterday but i was too tired + lazy = didn't post.

first of all, HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY Qing Xian!!!

okay i am going/will try my best to keep this short. (for more details, kindly refer to huei-wen's)

so we actually went to 1u in the morning to grab some chips, drinks & most importantly to get her present! she lost her watch and therefore we're getting her one. found this watch in city chain which is blue, metal strap, round, with 1 year warranty & 5 years battery free. then we did some shopping, and that was when we realised that we were stuck! (after all, huei-wen's "reach there only see" did work things out) thankfully, yixuan was able to give us a ride to qing xian's place :) but we did pay for that. standing there waiting... holding BIG bottles of soda (hey! why didn't we think of leaving them on the floor! trying to show muscles huh? oh i just remebered!! we all thought yi xuan was reaching in no time but NO~) still, thanks a lot yi xuan! if it wasn't her, we would have to walk until our feet burn.

as we got there, we started to set things up but then we met this very responsible guard (can't blame him cos that's his job) telling us not to do this and that without knowing that we were the ones who booked the poolside earlier. then while waiting for the b'day girl to arrive, we spottted the playground! we, the over-age people didn't care at all and went straight onto the see-saw & slides :) too bad they didn't have my favourite swing.

oh look! the slide is solid.

did i mention? it's a surprise party for dear qing xian. so we crowded right in front of the lift, waiting for her to come. and there we were waiting, all ready to wish her happy b'day. it was kinda funny when the door opened and we said happ~ and guess what? it's the guard again :/ then the second time the door opened, it was qing xian! i could see she was utterly overwhelmed by our loud HAPPY BIRTHDAY! i felt great when she actually seemed so so so surprised that she could hardly walk in a straight line :D and she took quite a while to completely accept the fact that we were there to give her a surprise! cos her actual b'date was the day before when none of us (except for munwai) sent her b'day wish, it's as though we didn't remember her b'day... haha

do NOT miss this :)

heh the picture describes everything. then we had the scrumptious nasi lemak prepared by her mom. we ate and ate and ate until we finally woke up to the fact that we should STOP eating! then we went to the pool~ really had lots of fun there X) captured a few beautiful pictures too! ( i guarantee it wouldn't be a few if we had a proper camera with the memory card inserted)

:O went for chemistry tuition today and i'm now in deep confusion~ plus i was feeling quite sleepy so i was all blur when teacher was teaching -.-

today we started off with a new subtopic of chapter 2, ALCOHOL which actually has a general formula *.* doesn't alcohol only drunk people? and more alcohol make someone blind drunk? and more more alcohol make someone roaring drunk? what is there for us to study???

well that was what i thought. and haha i'm soooo wroooong! as the lesson started, she went on and on and on... so much that we need to know about that one lil part of alcohol :( and there's one thing i just couldn't understand. there's this preparation of ethanol which involves distillation. before the distillation, teacher said water which has a boiling point of 100 degrees celcius is able to condense faster as compared to the ethanol with 78 degrees celcius as the boiling point. basically, this is how we get pure ethanol (i think).

BUT i don't get it! why does water condense faster when it actually has a higher boiling point? shouldn't the ethanol gets boiled first and then condense happily even before the water did o.O looks like my brain cells are functioning in an extremely slow pace. because even after a thousand times *hiperbola* of explainations from both huei-wen & samuel... i still don't get it. anyway, i got over it already la, i'll find out why the next time i need to answer a question related to this theory :)

i need a longer break. or more like i want a longer break! actually, life without school will be bored stiff. and i really enjoy myself at school :) heh, i don't feel like attending school merely because i know for sure we will get tons of homework and each passing day means getting closer to the end of form5 :'( ohno.

life IS great.

wow, i know it's late. and this was when cinderella lost her glass shoes. but see, she still lived happily ever after. i'm sure everyone has times when you day dream. and after all those 'staring into air' i realised that i'm indeed lucky! in fact, most of us are.

i'm quite sleepy right now. but i must say, life is wonderful! once in a while, there will be times when you feel really happy, and that everything seems to be going the way you want it to. ah~ the challenges in life is what makes it interesting & also as a motivation for us to keep moving forward without repeating our mistakes.

My 3rd Home

well, my first home is definitely my nice & cosy house. second home will be the school, don't have much choice. recently i just found my 3rd home, 1u :)

i guess it's because i stay really near 1u, so it's very convenient. i just spent my whole long day there yesterday and i'll be going there again later. oh! though it's called my 3rd home, i WILL easily get lost finding a shop :( that's embarrassing.

okay, it's time for me to go now~

a day to relax~

yesterday, i had a really good chat with my long-lost friend, shien-yin! she's still as sweet... hopefully we can meet up some time soon. but it won't be easy cos she's at s'pore. still, i can't wait to see her, it will be wonderful.

hmm... for once! we made it to not attend school! well, it's quite a great achievement :) because you never know how many times we failed :/

one more thing, i must stop procrastinating/delaying! i've got to get things done faster and better! for example, my english ulbs. teacher told us about it quite some time ago, but i started to sit down and get my research done only the night before we had our forum. i reckon i screwed my ulbs totally. besides this, i always wanted to study constantly after each test, but so far, i never did. i remember last year's final exam, when i was practising my add maths till 1 in the morning there was a black out before i was done with all the chapters. i felt so scared in the dark. not knowing what to do, i went to bed but my mind just couldn't stop thinking, until like an hour later things got back to normal. phew~ what a big relief! so these would be the reasons why i can't stand my bad habit of delaying things anymore.

At Last!

since the beginning of this year, i've been waiting and waiting and waiting, looking forward to getting my last year's school magazine. and yesterday, i finally got it. i was reallyreally glad that it's here.
there we went straight to the teacher's table where Pn. rose was nicely sitting to grab our own copy. i actually took one too. but not long after that, Pn. rose called and said, "siewming, did you pay for it?" and then i remembered, i did not pay cos my sister already did. aih~ how sad, i didn't even get to look through it before i put it back on teacher's table.
but after that it was alright cos wk lent me his as he was doing his homework. at least i get to flip through it. then later on, everyone started to exchange their magazines for each other to sign on the autograph page. i couldn't cos it's not mine :( at first i was thinking that maybe i can bring mine tomorrow for them to sign...
but i really cldn't wait any longer, so i went to my sister and took it form her. that was quite a brilliant choice. because tht day itself was when everyone was really in the mood of signing autographs. unfortunately there wasn't enough time for me to pass it around. and i forgot to bring it today ><
nvm. and i'm considering starting an autograph book like many of them since this is my last year in secondary.

well, back to the year book! our beautiful class layout which was 2pgs is now compressed into 1pg. nobody's happy about that. we shall see how things go~
