Most days of the year are unremarkable. They begin, and they end, with no lasting memories made in between. Most days have no impact on the course of a life.

the title of this post would sound very familiar if you've watched this movie "500 days of summer". i happened to watch it one of the days during the semester break and i find it really worth watching. i like the way how the 500 days Hansen had with this girl, Summer were not arranged in chronological order.

just like how Summer has left a great impact on another person's life, the people whom i spend my day with and whatever's happening around do leave an impact on me too.

this post would be on the rest of my sem break...

5 August 2010, Thursday. a day where everything was so fated.

was supposed to get Yanz's domokun from one u's action city, but thank goodness before i managed to buy, Hh called to tell that Denesh found a cheaper domokun. same item for a lower price, good purchase. earlier Wk told me he needed to get a present, so we agreed to go together. and the night before Hl called to go out, hence, we watched Inception together! one AWESOME show, except for someone who felt dizzy halfway through the show and chose to sleep instead of watching it. lucky the tickets were cheap that day, only RM7, or it would be such a waste. met Benz at diva. the day before we were just saying not fated to meet, and there we bumped into each other.

6 August 2010, Friday. ze bomb for our dearly beloved popo, Yanz~

everything went on pretty smoothly, yes, according to plan. thank you to the event manager. :) minus the part we kept using all kinds of disgusting ways to force her to stand on the chair, i hope she had a good time!
this girl is really cute, and she's so capable in keeping the right balance between different different aspects of her life, which is definitely not something as easy as it seems. she's my ou xiang xD

your wish will come true :)

proud of her collection of domokunsss! :D
no planned colour code whatsoever, but nice colour combination :)

at night, went over to ah xian's condo to catch up and have our chatting session. this time pei ying joined us too! really appreciate her presence cause she stays so far away and moreover, she'll be flying off next month. i cannot quite imagine that.

life is really filled with unexpected happenings, sometimes, the best things tend to be the most unexpected ones. when it happens, you just got to believe that it's not a dream.

:)

talking about qing xian's condo... they sure did a great job on reinforcing the security system! i used to be able to just tell the guard "visit kawan" and can swiftly enter, nothing beyond that. this time i was asked for my name, IC and their lot number so they could make a call to confirm there's guest.

then, they handed me a visitor pass and i started walking in like usual. who knows just after a few steps, i heard the guard on his walkie-talkie in a very serious tone..."sekarang ada seorang perempuan, pakai baju biru sedang menuju ke swimming pool......" i suddenly felt like some super suspicious bad guy at that moment LOL.

really nice talking by the pool at night :)

7 August 2010, Saturday. Dorie's farewell party at WIP, Bangsar.

nice place to dine at with a soothing ambiance under the dim lighting. only thing was it's a farewell party. i understand that she's leaving for good, but i get emotional very easily thinking about that one day i actually have to bid goodbye to this dear friend of mine.

the times we used to sit together in form2 was what brought us close to each other. one embarrassing incident we can never forget was talking during sejarah period until Pn Prema asked us to stand outside the class! thank goodness we escaped from standing outside the class in the end, or else i don't know where to hide our faces also.

hw, dorie, myself, alina :) pink cheeks from the cocktail :o

in the washroom which was too nice we had to camwhore x)
*please don't bother reading the caption at the bottom right corner! for a second i thought hw edited it, zhadou.

9 August 2010, Monday. Bobo's birthday party at his house.

accompanied Hl to the immigration center to get her passport renewed. thanks to gps, we did't get lost. gosh, their service is so so so slow. had to wait for a gazillion hours before our turn. saw Ms. Tana there, but didn't go to her and say hi. came back and went to one u straight for bobo's present. spent a really long time choosing between buying a very elegant looking chess set made of glass and t-shirts. then spent an even longer time picking two shirts out of the many many designs. i've got to learn to be more decisive!

arrived at bobo's place late when alina's already left. happy that she came back again after giving tuition x) ohh and yes i really admire qing lin & jeffrey's piano and guitar skills. was so indulged in listening to them play spontaneously.

rachel tan, wai san, kit wei, kevang & myself.

benz, qing lin, myself, the birthday boy & jeffrey trying to do the o'_'o pose.

10 August 2010, Tuesday. new experience :D

went for jogging with Alina in the morning. love the feel of breathing in fresh oxygen released by the big trees in the park, so serene. had breakfast with her after that then we thought of going to time square in the afternoon but went to bangsar instead cause it's a bit of hassle to get all the way to time square.

we entered almost all the boutiques there, then had lunch at delicious. carrot cake lovers should really try the one they have there, it's very nice!

and then finally, alina brought me to a wig shop!! the lady there was really friendly, and we were allowed to try on any of the wigs on display. i got really curious of how i would look in those various hairstyles, but finally picked a very long curly dark brown hair.

it's quite easy to put on the wig, she helped to neatly stuff my hair into this net and then placed the wig on top. done! i laughed so much looking at myself in it. probably cause i'm not used to it! super hilarious! then later on, alina picked a short hairstyle, she looked good in that, her eyes seemed bigger also. left the shop after each of us tried on two wigs. :)

i call that a new experience. might post the picture up one day after i get them from alina.

12 August 2010, Thursday. Nervous nervous.

the CAL results was just being released and i'm totally proud of them who all did so well. with A stars here and there, all their hard work is finally paid off. :)

spent the morning by the swimming pool, a lil too sunny that day! saw this very cute japanese and ang mo family playing there, with little kids, cute & lovely :)

:)

13 August 2010, Friday. A day of mixed emotions.

then our results for sem2 finally came out in the midnight. i was actually lying on bed already until receiving Yanz's message i immediately flew to the computer and logged in to iZone. not a perfect string of A's, not completely satisfied, but i was okay with it. *have to work harder this semester*

then it was a sleepover at hw's place! i really like sleepovers a lot, especially with the closest friends. it's like a right time for everyone to talk about just anything and everything.

told alina to bring along her twister. what a game to play at such a time! before that everyone was kinda in that half sleepy mode already. then twister made us laugh so much in all kinds of twisted positions!

looking at this picture makes me smile, so happy la :D

with the soft toy colony at hw's house plus hello kitty which i brought cause my bag was too empty x)

next morning, after qing xian and alina came back from their tennis class, we had brunch at this place near Atria, Bon Bon. indeed a very cute name, and the shop is run by a lovely lady :)

oh, alina's sister and her friend joined us too! they're only standard 5, and it's pretty interesting to hear them talk.

and that was probably going to be our last sleepover with Pei Ying before she leaves to UK. i'm going to miss you so so so much. may the days pass slower please.....

Weekend was spent with my family, Saturday at One U, Sunday at Cheras and Semenyih. quality time with them :)

well, that's about how i spent part of my holidays. currently experiencing the post-holidays syndrome and i already feel quite left behind when it's only week 2! need to be more FOCUS!

i am nineteen now,
and i'm feeling thankful for all the things i've been through,
more to come,
yeah :)

Back to BU4 :)

another outdated post, this was 25th July, my third day seeing Jy three days continuously. :)

going back to BU4 didn't feel strange in any way, the classrooms, teachers, tapak perhimpunan, tempat rehat, padang, and every corner still looks more or less the same.

it's just this time, we're not the ones behind the stall, messing around with waffle mix, scooping ice cream or frying omelette. aah, sunshine cafe was a success.

quite a big part of our profit was contribution from selling things out of our menu though. the craziness towards the end of the carnival when everyone had extra coupons left and was dying for a sip of water or more like any form of liquid? good times.

walked around and finally decided to stay at tropical cafe where my sister was helping out. their "cafe" was really soothing, with the dim lighting, fan and music playing. proud of my sister who cooked a whole big pot of  laksa johor. next time please be careful and don't cut your own finger -.-

nice decorations~

their table deco, our entertainment :D

played with Jeffrey's dslr. now i know it really takes a lot of effort to produce gorgeous pictures. it's absolutely not light and so many buttons to press, need long and flexible fingers xD

fion, myself, tse wei, shawn & jyyyyy :)

went to One U after that to reunite with my family. then we went back to pick up my sister at around 6pm, but they were not done yet when we reached. hence, i had the chance to use the school's broom and dustpan once again! helped them sweep sweep a little bit x)

then one of my sister's friend followed us back home to wait for her parents to come from Mid Valley.

it was really interesting to hear their conversations.

both of them were complaining about how their legs were going to break after standing for almost 12 hours thanks to some irresponsible club members who didn't appear during their shifts.

then they talked about the effort they put in from decorating the cafe to getting sponsors to canteen day itself, and how they envy another club for earning most.

and they drifted away to talk about friendship. it goes something like this...

sister's friend: "siew... who's your best friend?"

sister: " i don't really like to label any of my friends as the best, i would rather say super duper extremely super super .... close friend, rather than BEST friend."

sister's friend: "but i'm sure there's one friend you care for more than the others, like everything you do, that friend will always come to your mind first. who's that one friend for you?"

the television was on, but my mind was already carried away by that question.

at that very moment, there were friends who came to my mind naturally. and i started pondering who's that one true friend i have. i find each of them to be distinct, all of their own unique charisma and they give me a different feeling too. anyhow, i realised friendship, like any other kind of relationships, requires an adequate amount of commitment from both sides. that is what keeps the ship sailing for a long long time, through gusts of wind and crashing waves until always...

Toy Fair at Mid Valley :D

In a blink of an eye, here we are in the month of August already. isn't that fast? and now i'm here writing about my day on the 24th of July. *still learning to be more efficient in blogging*

this whole thing is kinda funny, and totally unplanned. it was one day when Shawn suddenly asked if i was free on Saturday for a movie with Jeffrey and him because Tse Wei last minute realised that he'd something on when the movie tickets were already bought. In the end Jyy Yee came along too! :D

So on Saturday morning Jyy Yee came and pick me up after her vocal class in SS2 (I wanna hear you sing :P) then back to her house in BSD so it's more convenient for Shawn to fetch us to Mid Valley. now everytime i hear Mid Valley i think of Hey Herng & Yanz before than anything else, well it's not a bad thing! :D

Glad it was not jam yet, and we found a parking almost as soon as we got there yay! also because it was still early la, 11.15am when we reached. tried to remember the way there but ohgosh the only thing i can recall now is, "follow the bangsar sign board". why am i so blind when it comes to direction? T_T

reminds me of how i got Kee Aik's dad lost when he fetched me home after a sleepover long long time ago, felt so so bad for not knowing the way back to my own house after staying here for more than 10 years now. -.-

i wonder if it's in my genes or what cause my brother seems to have the same problem, he got my whole family lost in 1u the other day trying to bring us to Studio R for his basketball shoes. but anyways congrats on winning in the match! minions helped you ;D

too much of sidetracking! back at Mid Valley, we were pretty early and Jeffrey would only join us after his primary school carnival (what a loyal alumni! i miss Yuk Chai...)

paid RM3 entrance fee and we explored one round to see what's nice. it was quite crowded, especially with those huge mascots walking around cause they easily block the entire corridor, they're really cute though! very nice to poke also x) of course there were many many toys on display, i basically like Dooodolls only, don't really fancy those hard plastic molded toys, i must say they look really cool, especially when it comes in one whole collection! it's just i prefer soft toys cause they're more cuddly :) ohhh, there were MANY booths for online games! you'll see why later.

pictures at random... these are the ones from Jeffrey's camera.

i forgot what it's called :O but it can be painted and styled to present various looks. quite cute :D

chad vader and friends? LOL.
o.0 no idea what this is. but can be a perfect mascot during CNY, so red! xD
pose pose..

pose even more! he was stagnant there with this emo pose for so long as the cameras around were clicking non-stop.

at one of the online game booths. nice clothes!

the Dooodolls corner! :D there were more soft toys on the other side, i don't have the pictures yet.

Lao Fu Zi :D

OH this passport! which we didn't know of, cause nobody told us anything about it. until Jeffrey came and demanded for a free bag, then we were told to get a passport first.

then redeem all these chops before getting our free bags. really no easy job! almost every booth we stopped for chops, we're required to sign up for that particular online game. by now, i think i have more than 5 accounts already. all without using my actual email address :X

one uncle took this for us! Jeffrey Moey Ee O, Jyy Yee and Ik Shawn :)

what's in the bag. don't know what to do to them now... the only thing useful is the packet of tissue xD

and all the online game CDs. i feel like i just wasted resources, cause i really don't know what to do to them. throw away?

on the same day, there was a wedding exhibition over the other side too! where Jeffrey should have entered :D

and also some health and nutrition exhibition. entrance was FOC so we went to get nestle ice-cream and i got kokokrunch stickers! :D

by the way, before Jeffrey came, we went to the pet shop! and guess what, the animals were on SALES. weird to see how they put the animals' lives on discount. then we went to Action City at Gardens, touched and played with almost all the items on display cause we had so much time left!

Lunch was at a Thai restaurant - Rak Thai. no regrets trying it man... at least now i know it's a no no place! we had set lunches, the lemon grass drink tasted so much like serai! it looked perfectly normal until everyone took a sip, our expressions changed straight away! xD and out of nowhere the waiter suddenly placed this plate of mango with sticky rice on our table.

at Rak Thai.

Shanghai was the movie since Jeffrey watched almost all the others already. err.. i enjoyed looking at Gong Li throughout the movie, closed my eyes when people get shoot or their heads chopped and all other gruesome scenes. Shawn was actually laughing at those scenes o.o

the storyline's quite complicated with the multiple identities played by each character. i don't have much comments but Mid Valley's cinema was crazily packed!

After everything, i was dropped at 1u cause my family was there. long time never whole family shop together already so it was fun :D somewhere near cold storage, me sisters and me got attracted by these~
guinea pigs!

and this dwarf hotot rabbit is just gorgeous! the fur is so nice!

it's actually an event by the Puchong branch PetsMore and there was this one other rabbit we saw, it was the cutest! the shop person was carrying it and it just snuggled in his hands comfortably, once in a while start licking his fingers. haha really damn cute! if only Ador would let us carry him too...

that's all! it was a happy day :)
