WK's 19th.

Celebrated one day after wk's actual birthday, but it was all so nice. never expected so many people to be able to turn up, must be wk's special aura! my second time at Chan Kee restaurant, thank you to aunty & uncle for treating us. we had sweet & sour fish, curry vege (tw's fav), tofu, herbal chicken, green vege, noodles and longan. we couldn't even finish all, wasting food.

This is the picture of one of the 2 tables. Also the only picture found with the dishes, guess everyone's too hungry to take pictures x)
b'day cake with a lot of mini fruits deco! ^_^

b'day boy and the b'day cake with many candles on it! getting older already ohnoes :(
i still remember how we used to talked in form 1 with pei ying and john chan mun fei, always made us laugh until cry. those were the days. and it isn't that easy to get everyone to meet up so often anymore, so every get-together seems to worth more appreciation. :)

all the people except Audrey who came a lil later.

JY and QX the temporary teacher!
i wish i can go to Puay Chai 2 and be her student for one day :D

had a short p&c conversation before we left, when it was only left with a few of us. and it simply amazes me how much someone can do for the other when it comes to  ;D

After Broga :D

Bye bye to the first two weeks of holidays~ I'm actually glad that i've been enjoying it so far, mainly catching up with the people who are having holidays too. Three more weeks to go before Uni resumes, there are still things in my holiday list that are not done!

Continuing from the previous post, my legs have been aching until three days ago when the tinge of pain whenever i walked down the stairs is completely gone. On Tuesday itself when i just got home, the first thing i did after cleaning the shoes stained with mud from Broga, was to shower. It felt like the best bath ever! Slept straight away after that.

At first, the board game plan was supposed to be at 3pm. But i was sure i wouldn't be able to wake up by then, so told hw i would go at 4pm. Who knows i only managed to wake up at around 4.20pm, whatever happened to the alarm i set.

So at last, i ding-donged hw's house at 5pm. It's very funny, every time i pressed the doorbell Viva would follow to wooooof!

Let's see, we played...
Uno Stacko!

At one point Hw was literally playing it one her own! I kept getting "reverse" on the dice so she kept playing xD

Connect 4!!
This is quite an interesting game, never played with it before. The trick to win is to get four of the chips aligned, as simple as that! :D My brain wasn't functioning that time, convinced Hw to play until i FINALLY won. Then we switched to the ultimate Malaysia version of Monopoly called...

Saidina!!!
We had lots of fun playing this game, and even learned how devastating it can be when we have no $$$, till the extent of mortgaging all the properties and still can't afford to pay the debt. The result of unplanned spending when we had a lot of money in hands!  I really enjoyed this game, maybe cause the properties are all places in Malaysia so i'm very familiar with what i'm actually buying, though it's with fake paper money :P

Had dinner at F2F in DU, then went home. Thanks aunty for treating! :)

Wednesday, 21st July, met up with Jy and Amber at One Utama. Very nice to see both of them again! Calista was supposed to come too, eesh to the bad jam that day :(

When we were walking towards the cinema, bumped into Bobo and he brought us to say Hi to Kevang. Jessica and Kit Wei :) Haven't seen them in ages.

Then we watched Despicable Me. Love Margo, Edith and Agnes in the show so so so much!! It's so warm to see how they transformed Gru into such a kind-hearted person :) Agnes is especially cute with her unicorn haha :D The minions are very funny too! Now my brother calls my younger sister his minion whenever she wears anything yellow haha.

♥  Take care in Aus Amber!

Shall write about  Fri, Sat and Sun in the upcoming posts. ^^V Holidays make me happy!

The Climb ~

I don't think i can ever forget how the nine of us made our way up and down Broga Hill. Well, it can be said one of the craziest thing i've done so far! Have never been more adventurous than this.

Everything went according to our plan, met up at Su Ann's house, then to Eugene's place for a "sleepover" and off to Broga at Semenyih!

This was outside of Su Ann's house, felt super excited that time and started doing silly stuff in the car :P

At Eugene's house, none of us actually slept. Glad that Yanz and Su Ann recovered from the headache and tommy ache. Then, we had a little chat after that which i personally find very nice, reminds me of "emo night".

Not long after, it was time to leave the house of KOO. Had our light breakfast at a mamak and left at around 4am. The entire journey to Broga was quiet, with no other cars on the road besides a few lorries or cars zooming past occasionally. With the help of Dennis, the human GPS and Hock Kuan's GPS, we managed to find our way there without getting lost. Saw the ultimately gross rabbit satay shop too, yucks.

The moment we stepped out of the car, it was completely pitch black! Couldn't believe that we were actually going to start climbing from there cause i could barely see a clear path for us to walk on. Everywhere was just so dark!
.
.
.
.
It was very bumpy and uneven at the beginning, but the road was still very broad. Then as we moved deeper in, it became steeper and narrower. When i turned to my right, i saw a thick bush of many different plants all growing together; on my left was less bushy, but it's very steep down, it's like if i happened to slip and fall from there, i would be rolling all the way down. That's when i got scared, probably because i imagine too much.

On a brighter note, the little lights from the houses and shops and buildings below were really pretty, like many many stationary fireflies motivating us to continue with the climb. Oh, and the bugs there like lights too! They kept following wherever the torchlight shines. :)

As we moved on, something that got all of us worried happened. Hey Herng was cold sweating and her lips turned kinda purplish (similar to the colour when we come out from a very cold classroom). Not sure if it's the effect of not sleeping, roti bakar, or both. Su Ann was holding her at first, then we stopped so she could sit and rest. At one point, Dennis even thought of bringing her back to the car since he's been there twice already. Such good friends...

In the end, nobody had to turn back to the car. We continued our way up TOGETHER, with Eugene and Dennis supporting Hey Herng.

And that's how we managed to reach the second peak!
Not forgetting all the motivations from each other too, "10 steps only 10 steps only~"

Then from the second peak, we went on to the third peak, then up to the fourth peak! I was quite shocked to see the big rock there though, had to use a rope to climb over it.

Right at the peakest peak of Broga...
great sense of  accomplishment~!

What a scenic view... Can see lots of green trees, houses, roads, and more mountains far far away, all shrouded in mist~

I think we all look very HAPPY here! :D

When the SUN is rising up! We didn't get a very good view of sun rise though, all blocked by trees.

Going back down to where we started this tiring but fun climb~

On the way down, my legs were shaking already, each time i stopped it'll tremble haha. Halfway down, Su Ann accidentally sprained her ankle, felt very painful for her cause it's so steep. But i guess the power of love helped her relieve the pain on her ankle :P

NICE :D

I'm glad my first time climbing a hill turned out to be such an amazing experience. How we mentally and physically supported each other was something i really appreciate.

Like this picture a lot! lalang and sun :D

A lot of thank yous to say too,
thanks Su Ann for letting us gather at your house and for holding me when i almost slipped;
thanks Peter for driving us with the cute hedgehog in the car;
thanks Hock Kuan for fetching me from my house and all the beautiful pictures taken with your dslr;
thanks Eugene for letting us spend a night at your big "terrace" and leading us throughout the climb;
thanks Yanz for telling me where to be careful and where to step when you walked before me;
thanks Hey Herng for playing silly stuff in the car with me and i really admire your never-give-up spirit;
thanks Dennis for helping me up and down those steep parts and the big rock;
thanks Denesh for helping me a lot too when i'm so scared i might fall.

One last beautiful picture to end the post. :)

When we're together :)

You know, good friends really make me feel happy.

Last Friday (16th July), i finally saw my tubby elmo Cali and Wk! It's been a long long time, especially for Wk, the last time we saw him in person was about 10 months ago. To give a better picture, i actually felt a lil weird hearing his voice again after so long.

Glad that A levels is over for them, and now we're all on holidays! :D

See, from left: Snelfy, Mokona Modoki, Bunny (oops it's hidden) and Piggy! such CUTE toys hw has! i was carrying mokona modoki cause the others were too furry x)

then, we walked over to curve for linner/dunch at a place called Winter Warmers, recommended by hw. i find  their decoration very cosy and nice, gives me the cottage feel. oh, and the whole place smells like tea

but according to Cali it's very aunty-like. then we looked around and saw 4 aunties sitting at one corner, and two monks at the other. anyways, it's not aunty at all la. quite a nice place for chit chatting!

it started raining after a while, so we stayed till the rain stopped before heading back to to hw's house again when Cali had to leave.

gosh, everyone's still so funny together! talked about how hw's going to open 3 plastic surgery branches in the future... one for inner beauty, the other for the cheerful Mokona Modoki look and the last one for Han Geng's oh-so-yeng face.

when i'm typing this now, it's making me smile out of nowhere.

and nothing can be more coincidental! the night before, hw was just sharing two Super Junior videos with me. we don't even usually talk about them at all. and so happen BOTH the songs appeared in Malam Bakat! can't believe Bu4's so Koreanified now, everybody loves Korean songs so much.
i'm a bit outdated eh.

看我看看我 不要总是想着他
不爱不爱他不爱你
你的完美胜过他
不要盯着那手机
不要再那三心二意
你明白的 你清楚的 我超级的女孩

haha i find the lyrics very funny. but the songs are actually not bad!

this is Jyy Yee ♥
remember we used to talk on the phone until 2am? back then 2am was really late for me!

group picture! too bad it's blur. even the juniors weren't as jakun :P

it was indeed a day well spent.
.
.
.
then on saturday, i decided to give ice skating a second try with the lovely Qx and Wl. before going to pyramid we went to Monash to enquire about some stuff. my first time stepping into Monash x) by next year, Qx will be very near to me! :D

Ice skating was fun! we stayed from 1pm to almost 8pm. now my legs are still aching slightly. it's always like this, starting was very nice, until the legs started to hurt it became a bit of a torture, but still feel like continue skating.

at first, i was still glued to the side like last time. then after their motivation, i moved away from the side. i remember one time i was skating alone without holding onto anyone's hand, then Qx came and said, "hey siew ming... good!" and i fell right away! xD she followed to fall too. then she promised not to praise me anymore.

in the skating rink, i saw a lot of different people. there's this guy who didn't know how to skate at first, fell down so many times until his whole shirt & pants were wet. in the end i saw him skating here and there, hard work paid off for him!

then there was this malay girl who fell down, and needed the people there to push a wheel chair in for her. scary~

and there's this uncle, who was really good at skating, he thought us a bit but i'm still very cacat.

and then those little kids who were very good, very cute too!

and ahem a random guy who held Wl's hand to teach her, i shall not elaborate.

now, i'm really excited over Broga with the BAF buddies~! :D

Of toys... and more toys!

yesterday,

i finally watched Toy Story 3! i don't usually rate movies, but upon five stars i would give it a 5!

it's been a long time since i laughed so hard in the cinema. the part when that Mr. potato man had to use a piece of tortilla as his body to merge his parts together was really ROFL!

another part that made me laugh equally hard was when poor Buzz Lightyear got reset into his spanish mode and started speaking in spanish to Barbie Jessie (thanks for the correction hh!). another ROFL x10000! i was laughing so much until i couldn't read the subtitles properly. so don't ask me what he said in spanish xD

then there's Lotso which, at first, i thought was a goody bear but noooo! so evil of him to brainwash all the other toys in the day care center. even after Woody saved his life, he actually DID NOT press the button to save them in return, that's just too mean. but in the end he didn't have a good life either eeks.

it was pleasant when Andy handed his box of toys over to Bonnie though. introducing them one by one to the lil girl, isn't that just aaaw. he still remembers vividly how he used to play with them and all.

watching Toy Story 3 only reminded me of my fellow old toys. all of them were awesome companions to my sister and i, really.

thank goodness we still keep our drawing book, yeah my sister and i used to draw together. and there was once we decided to draw all our toys with their names written down, or else i might not be able to remember some of their names (those that we rarely play with).

we used to have an entire P Family, where all their names begin with 'P'. then slowly as new toys joined the family, we ran out of ideas and started giving other cha pa lang names.

first up, one of our favourites, Pursy. she's a Hello Kitty trying to disguise herself as grapes. one of the grapes on her hoodie fell off :( we still love her nonetheless. she's always shy and very girly until sometimes her friends can't stand her girly-ness.

and yup, this is Pursy again. with her hoodie removed! still loves her a lot!

then it's Pookey with the heart-shaped nose. we used to play with him most, even my parents know his name! cause he's very naughty, he always messes around but it's hard to be angry at him when we look at his cute face x)

Pooh is from cousin who got it from McDonalds, he's very manja and that's him. little things also call for mommy.

the lovely couple, Flora and Onnly. Onnly will always sing to Flora, then both sweet sweet.

this is Wooshy! by the face also can tell that he's mischievous. and hence, he's Pookey's best friend, or more like partner in crime.

not that the name is nameless, i can't recall his name, it's not in the drawing book either. but he's pure evil, so we no like him. byebye.

this is Polly who likes to sniff sniff everywhere with his big nose. his super power is to hold onto a surface firmly by sucking in air through his nose. amazing power despite his small size.

Hi Scarfey, he's the jolly Christmas bear who's forever happy happy joy joy!

Poodel is similar to Pursy, very girly and all she wants is to stay pweetty.

here's the lovely rabbit family, Hoppy, Hasly and Hazel. they share to munch on the carrots and the parents are very protective over their baby.

Patch! best part is his tongue :D i still remember, it was a gift my elder sister bought for her friend, but somehow didn't give it out, an extremely good news to my younger sis and me!!! cause got extra toy xD

i don't think we named him. he's big and old and slightly grumpy. in fact one of the oldest one we have, had it since we were baby :P see the fur also tangled and rough already.

the delicate baby, Fluffy. super gentle and soft, must be handled with care. we don't always play rough with him cause he's fur is really very soft and smooth and we want to maintain that for as long as possible!

Mousy! another quite naughty one!

Purple dog and Beesheuy, they got no fur so i keep them on my bed still :) btw, all of them used to be on an open shelf in my room. then my mom realised i'm allergy to fur, so now they're arranged in a transparent bag on top of my cupboard :( i hope it's not suffocating them!

.
.
.

besides those soft toys, we used to love playing the dolls a lot too. i don't think i have the patience to play with them anymore. the only thing we can do is change their clothes, and make them walk around for a while, talk talk then change clothes again xD

the dolls have no names cause they always get new names in different settings.

(kindly do not focus on her naked body) poor thing. she lost her right leg ._. but she's still smiling haha, so i guess it's okay, just have to wear long shirt to cover her imperfection :X
a confession: her hair was longer, but i gave her a hair cut -.- thinking it would grow back. obviously, it never ever grew, not even 1mm.

this one also imperfect! don't know why out of nowhere got bald patch :X side view still looks okay though.

sorry if this picture gives you nightmare. i forgot how but the head just came off! and it became a freaky Barbie ever since x_x noticed her left palm also went missing. eeeks.

lastly, a perfect Barbie. she's newer, that's why so perfect, can do split somemore. except her hair's a little ruined by my sister who attempted to straighten it -.-

writing about them makes me feel so nostalgic all of a sudden. can't believe my sister and i used to spend hours in the room playing with them. somehow i don't believe that they can come alive cause i never gotten any special message from them before.

but it's true, the toys have always been there for me. other than those injuries they get, nothing about them will ever change. it's a good thing to hear.

come to think of it, the toys entered my life merely as a toy and nothing else. it's through time, along with my sister, we discovered each of their attitude. everytime we play with them, it's so automatic, this bear will be in this position, doing what he/she always does.

the funny thing is, we were never bored of playing with them the same way over and over again.

i guess that's what make toys so loveable among children. because almost everything they cannot find in reality, can be found in the world of toys. things are made possible when the toys are forever willing to act in a way such that they fulfill a kid's wonders and dreams.

 my toys.

Suddenly!

today,

i learned a new technique to make stories sound more intriguing... basically, you just have to add "suddenly" or any of its synonyms to whatever you say! aint that simple? xD

it's really nice catching up with hw and tw again. just thinking that some of them won't be around anymore after september makes me feel like seeing them even more.

and there's one thing i've been told that keeps me thinking even until now. i guess i'll get used to the fact that certain things are just meant to be the way it is. no matter how hard it is to believe it's true, it will never change anything.

* * *

i finally sorted out all the folders i have on my desktop into one BIG folder named "Semester 2". clap clap to all my BAF buddies! we've been through so many crazy assignments with all the annual reports and spss files. i still keep them :)

in the process, i found something i copied and saved from one of the company's annual reports. it says:

"Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose."

i was surprised to see such a sentimental line in that boring and rigid annual report. interesting stuff. to me, memories are also equivalent to what makes us into who we are today. i do treasure all the memories i have had with everyone and everything i've met so far.

speaking of which, i grabbed this picture few days ago from the long lost friendster. this was in 2005 at genting! we look so so so different now.

done and over!

no more weird dreams,
no more sleeping at 2am and waking up at 5am to study,
no more feeling nervous cause time's running out so quickly,
no more flipping through the pages of the books to count how much's left to read,
no more shutting myself in the study room and be antisocial,
no need to lead a zombie life anymore = YAAAY! :D

actually even when i was studying for the last subject on friday, it was really hard to concentrate already, thinking about what i can do (play!) and what i don't have to do (study zzz) during the holidays.

talking about the exams...

it was one stressful week. maybe extra stressful for people like me who study last minute - something i really wish to change in the next semester (i've been saying this since so long ago, it never really happened YET)

but at the same time, it was nice receiving calls from friends whom i miss and care for, telling me i can do it really makes me feel a lot better, like A LOT BETTER.

not forgetting how nice my brother sisters can be during that 5 days, still doing those silly things to make me laugh. the 10 minutes spent on laughing was all worth it.

as for the 5 papers, biz stats was fine to me, econs was regretful, management.. have to thank mr. shannon for all the discussion topics, AIB was not really fun, and then my imbalance sheet for accounting.. i think i'm getting used to that.

overall, i'm just feeling extremely glad that exams are over! HELLO to 5 weeks of semester break! time to plan for the holidays~ :D
