Chocolate Frenzy.

it's rare that i get such irresistibly cute looking chocolates from langkawi okay, and thus taking pictures of them obviously have priority over tasting them!
-
-

the fishy is cute,

so is the bee,
-

the elephant,

-

and of course the lady bug :)

The Candles

very oftenly, teachers are described as candles, they who make sacrifices for us students like how the candles burn themselves to provide light...
-
well, i wouldn't disagree with that statement :) and i've met a couple of dedicated teachers who holds firmly to the principle that students must, no matter what understand and gain knowledge from their teachings.
-
hence, as a token of our gratitude for all that the lecturers have done, we had a teacher's day celebration! ;)
-
first was a lunch session with the lecturers, then everyone gathered at the MPH for some really interesting performances prepared earlier, the skit was super funny, dance was cool, ballet was elegant, poem recital was meaningful, a girl played piano really well!
-
hope i didn't miss out anything. sadly, the performances ended a little too soon, probably because they were all too good. happy moments always seem to pass swiftly.
-
watching the performances actually reminded me of malam/hari bakat, felt quite nostalgic...
-
right before it ended, we surprised the teachers with a cake! and they were all very touched :)

The Birthdays!

birthday celebrations are always just so splendid.
-
imagine celebrating two birthdays at once? :D it was splendidly superb!!
-
no more surprises this time since surprises are always not quite successful and quite disappointing.
-
we had a rather simple birthday lunch or more exactly afternoon tea as it was already close to 3pm by the time everyone reached sunway pyramid.
-
sadly, our initial plan to take the free shuttle bus there was ruined due to the rain (i didn't blame it though. after so many scorching hot days, a downpour from the sky was what we deserved to get in return)
-
first of all, a picture of the two birthdayees... who weren't in their birthday suits, obviously -.-
i suddenly recalled the phrase "birthday suit" and felt like using it, do excuse me.

A Day Worth Celebrating

it felt as if it was only the beginning of 2009, but no!! it's now the 2nd week of May already, how unbelievable~

looking at the fast pace time's passing, we should really treat every single second seriously, appreciate every moment we have to spend with our loved ones, and of course live happily, life isnt that long after all...

yesterday was a public holiday (wesak day), and my family has decided to celebrate mother's day a bit earlier :) had a simple dinner at tony roma's, cineleisure.

gosh, the waiters were extremely friendly! they offered help to take a family picture even before you ask them to, they come to you to make sure that you're happy with your meal, and most importantly, they smile non-stop... that definitely made me a little happier :)

they serve in very generous portions too, like any other western restaurants... we've learned our lesson to not over order.

the starters, something called onion loaf and salad.

-
-
their famous ribs.
-
pa, ma, elder sis, me and mei mei + the missing brother (we're always waiting for you...)
-
if i were asked to write an essay on the topic 'the person who has influenced me the most', it would undoubtedly be my mom. basically, she's the one who made me into who i am right now and i'm more than glad to be her daughter, i can never wish for anything better :)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, mommy !

on thursday after college, we went to sunway pyramid by... taking sunway's free shuttle bus!!! the cute little orange bus ^^
--
waited for about 7 minutes before we saw it coming, not too bad. while waiting, we saw two very run-down bus mini passed by, and you actually have to pay for it, probably like 80 cents. but the air-cond bus we take was for free, except that the seats are very limited that we had to stand.
-
the whole journey was just so hilarious, not knowing where the bus is going to stop, and trying to balance ourselves in the moving bus, cant blame us, it's our first time.
-
after shopping for presents, we had extra time so we tried out the mini doughnuts at J.Co, they're called J Pops if i'm not wrong. 24 of them in a box :)

A Small Reunion

the last time i saw them was actually 11th April, during the school's award giving ceremony where the teachers kept asking us to keep quiet with their forefingers pressed to the lips. it was really hard (impossible actually) for us to be sitting beside each other and not talk!

although it has only been 2 weeks plus, i was already extremely eager to see them again (going out with them can be quite addictive) especially when my final exams for the first semester just ended.
i was supposed to watch a movie with my college friends at mid valley... but i had no transport to get there, how sad :(
back to 1st May, also the Labour Day... i was so happy that i could finally see my dearrr friends! :D too bad, some of them couldn't make it as they had stuff to deal with.

as usual, people weren't punctual that huei-wen and i continued walking round and round the same place until hw suddenly spotted them heading our way. at the same time, we both somehow decided to hide from them instead, being very naughty.

in the end, we walked another round... thinking of giving them a surprise from behind, we failed -.- we then headed for sushi zanmai and immediately left due to the super long queue that weng khong said huei-wen might faint by the time we actually get a seat X)

the next place that attracted us was vietnam kitchen :)

hui ling with her cute nails painted with "XD" and behind,
tse wei who claimed himself as Lim Huei-Wen in fornt of the waiter, how did that happen???
candid :)

we saw this very bulat water fountain and settled down at the table right next to it :D

the restaurant...

a peace sign and a huge palm, see the difference in size :O

don't be angry at weng khong, hui ling!!! haha

huei-wen who camouflages perfectly with the menus :D

looking through the menu... :)

the chee hung who came a bit later and a happier looking hui ling

bitty or wolverine?! it'll be really scary if bitty has such long claws ._.
tse wei's new friend,
who is also our new friend :)
after eating, talking, and walking around for some time, we watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine! it was better than i expected it to be. besides those eeky gross scenes where tubes and needles are inserted into flesh for tranfusion, the show was thrilling from the first second till the last.
there, i had another great day with them! :)
