another outdated post, this was 25th July, my third day seeing Jy three days continuously. :)
going back to BU4 didn't feel strange in any way, the classrooms, teachers, tapak perhimpunan, tempat rehat, padang, and every corner still looks more or less the same.
it's just this time, we're not the ones behind the stall, messing around with waffle mix, scooping ice cream or frying omelette. aah, sunshine cafe was a success.
quite a big part of our profit was contribution from selling things out of our menu though. the craziness towards the end of the carnival when everyone had extra coupons left and was dying for a sip of water or more like any form of liquid? good times.
walked around and finally decided to stay at tropical cafe where my sister was helping out. their "cafe" was really soothing, with the dim lighting, fan and music playing. proud of my sister who cooked a whole big pot of laksa johor. next time please be careful and don't cut your own finger -.-
nice decorations~ |
their table deco, our entertainment :D |
played with Jeffrey's dslr. now i know it really takes a lot of effort to produce gorgeous pictures. it's absolutely not light and so many buttons to press, need long and flexible fingers xD
fion, myself, tse wei, shawn & jyyyyy :) |
went to One U after that to reunite with my family. then we went back to pick up my sister at around 6pm, but they were not done yet when we reached. hence, i had the chance to use the school's broom and dustpan once again! helped them sweep sweep a little bit x)
then one of my sister's friend followed us back home to wait for her parents to come from Mid Valley.
it was really interesting to hear their conversations.
both of them were complaining about how their legs were going to break after standing for almost 12 hours thanks to some irresponsible club members who didn't appear during their shifts.
then they talked about the effort they put in from decorating the cafe to getting sponsors to canteen day itself, and how they envy another club for earning most.
and they drifted away to talk about friendship. it goes something like this...
sister's friend: "siew... who's your best friend?"
sister: " i don't really like to label any of my friends as the best, i would rather say super duper extremely super super .... close friend, rather than BEST friend."
sister's friend: "but i'm sure there's one friend you care for more than the others, like everything you do, that friend will always come to your mind first. who's that one friend for you?"
the television was on, but my mind was already carried away by that question.
at that very moment, there were friends who came to my mind naturally. and i started pondering who's that one true friend i have. i find each of them to be distinct, all of their own unique charisma and they give me a different feeling too. anyhow, i realised friendship, like any other kind of relationships, requires an adequate amount of commitment from both sides. that is what keeps the ship sailing for a long long time, through gusts of wind and crashing waves until always...
