Quality Time... ♥

19th Sept.
-
It was all a random suggestion by my elder sister to spend the weekend at Malacca and then back to my dad's hometown in Johor since we've got four days off. left home in the morning, the traffic condition on the highway wasn't too good, plus it was raining~
-
it was close to 12pm when we reached the destination. so decided to have lunch first at a chicken rice shop which had quite a long queue...
-
the first picture taken :)

-
another angle of the building,

-
taxi in malacca X)

-
and there goes the queue...

-
and malacca's famous chicken rice ball, which urm wasn't too good. there were so many different restaurants and we didn't know which was nicer, so went for the one with the longest queue.
-
Then we walked around Jonker Street...

-
the place we tried durian cendol. very sweet and nice :)
-
and this Tiki man by the street :D a lot of people were taking picture with it, haha.

-
at Jalan Hang Jebat...

-
continued walking around... it was all shops along the street. selling shoes, jewellery, crafts, clothes, souvenirs and more.
-

a windmill :)
-
the river. malacca river? not sure what it's called.

-
Stadthuys Square...
-
i wonder how it's like inside X) too bad cannot enter~ -
kitty cat #1, the ice-cream seller's guardian angel 0:) and my sister who wanted a picture with the cat...
-
Eye On M'sia, relocated at Malacca :)
-
and this, the Statue of St Francis Xavier... whose hand was broken on one side. i've no idea why and how or who he was. poor poor knowledge about the beautiful history :(

-
a candid picture of the emo-ing brother, i guess he was bored of us taking pictures here and there X)
-
family - elder sister = incomplete... lame lame -.-

-
in front of Fort A famosa. perfect here :D
-
nearby, there was this airplane... and trains.
-

kereta lembu! (car cow?) :P
-
and we could see beca nicely decorated with fresh flowers almost everywhere around that area...

the Maritime Museum...

-
woooosh! lonely kitty cat #2 cleaning itself!

-
the King's well... -
then we went back to jonker street to get pineapple tarts for my uncle. there were many many different shops too. but we heard one of it was not bad so it was easier to make decision.
-
-
at around 6pm, went to this famous Restoran Capitol Satay for satay celup they call it. the queue was even longer! but since we had time, and it seemed to be one of the must-try. so we joined the line of people~
waited for so long, that my sisters and i visited a small and quite smelly pet shop opposite of this. saw a few baby bunnies there, they were all so skinny and small ~.~
-
hmm, it's something like steamboat, except you cook it in satay sauce. i always enjoy steamboat, so it was quite fun. X)
-
-
as soon as we finished, the sky was getting dark already. went back to jonker street again, cause my brother said the atmosphere at night's not bad.
-
nightview of Stadthuys Square. i like the lights! :)
-
street performance by a FireMan :D

not long after that, it started drizzling then raining again. luckily we had umbrellas.

-
and a DollMan making dolls... so many people were staring at him o.o
-
there were aunties singing karaoke on an open stage too XD walked around somemore for a while, and then it was time to leave for Johor.

-
the journey was nice at night, dark roads... with our silly jokes about flintstone the cartoon. :D reached my uncle's house around midnight... so bathed and slept straight away, tired after the whole day of walking around...
-
-
next morning, my uncle happily showed us a cake which was given by a friend who got it from Istana Bukit Serene Johor. it's just a normal fruit cake actually, but the fact that it's from an istana made jakun poeple like us take pictures of it X)
-
the blackest fruit cake i've ever seen.
-
in the afternoon, we got invited to a malay's house for raya celebration. they're my uncle's business partner. warmly welcomed us with lots of cookies, the adults were busy talking while we just sat there, ate and watched.
-

after that, went to a fishing village called Kukup. funny name X)
-
took a boat ride out to the sea... it was hot at the same time windy~

-
-
they then let us down to the fish breeding place in the middle of the sea... showed us the fishes,
-
and this poor little very handicapped starfish :(-
and these... they all weren't in good condition. not taken care of well enough i guess.
-
another family picture :D
-
dried fish in production.
-
then my uncle brought us to this sea side which i'm not sure of the name.
-
2 cute cousins, sweet cousin sister, me, ma, mei, aunt, uncle, pa & gor. elder sister not in again.
-
a picture i took since i didn't dare to walk down, it was quite steep and very uneven, all rocks @.@
-
like the clouds ^^
-
and this is mei mei trying to act silly with her shirt X)
had dinner after that, then went back. another fun day :D
-
oh, and the CNY decoration which lasted until now... first time seeing it cause didn't visit my uncle during this year's cny. can't believe my uncle pasted so many flowers on the mirror! it's pretty :)
home sweet home on monday night to avoid the jam on tuesday :)
-
-
-
love my pa, ma, jie, gor and mei to bits
family and friends are very important people to me,
they make me smile so much
there's no reason for me to be sad. :)
