very oftenly, teachers are described as candles, they who make sacrifices for us students like how the candles burn themselves to provide light...
-
well, i wouldn't disagree with that statement :) and i've met a couple of dedicated teachers who holds firmly to the principle that students must, no matter what understand and gain knowledge from their teachings.
-
hence, as a token of our gratitude for all that the lecturers have done, we had a teacher's day celebration! ;)
-
first was a lunch session with the lecturers, then everyone gathered at the MPH for some really interesting performances prepared earlier, the skit was super funny, dance was cool, ballet was elegant, poem recital was meaningful, a girl played piano really well!
-
hope i didn't miss out anything. sadly, the performances ended a little too soon, probably because they were all too good. happy moments always seem to pass swiftly.
-
watching the performances actually reminded me of malam/hari bakat, felt quite nostalgic...
-
right before it ended, we surprised the teachers with a cake! and they were all very touched :)
