AIYO.....

:)

it's not always i get to see such a cute puppy, and this is one of the not-so-many times my heart, lungs, pancreas, and everything internal got melted away by just staring into its eyes. i can't stand it any longer.

come to think of it, Ador used to be as cute as nobody's business too. still is, but that baby-ish face is nowhere to be seen anymore.

Cut the complications.

"aaw, look at those eyes..."

Our masterpiece. We were supposed to take turns to each add a stroke to the initially plain paper. It really shows how people with different brains don't think alike. I'm quite amazed by the odd looking end product. It actually bears a slight resemblance to the skunk above!

Had the chance to read the biography of a young lady who just hits 24, but has gone through some of the toughest moments in life none of us might even have to endure.

My sister got to know her and her book through the charity club she and her friends newly set up. Things seem to be going well for them, makes me miss those koku times in secondary.

It's entitled "I'm not sick, just a bit unwell", by Yvonne Foong. The chapters are short but enough to give me an insight into the kind of life she's living since the day she was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis II.

This, being a rare form of genetically-inherited disorder which causes tumors to grow in her brain and spine, really really changed her life in many ways. As usual i failed to hold my tears. She described every encounter so explicitly that i could almost feel the pain she had to bear at that point of her life.

The scariest part of all is that she has to undergo surgeries again and again to remove those tumors, can you imagine how painful that is. Not only the pain, she's lost her ability to hear, half of her face is paralysed, poor vision and has problem keeping herself balanced. To be precise, these are not just it.

She got invited to deliver a speech in school the other day, my sister said she was carrying a whiteboard so she could communicate with them, her voice was a lil out of pitched, and she needed people to guide her when walking. Despite all the limitations, she still smiled.

In her biography too she mentioned a few of her close friends who have helped her a lot, both physically and spiritually during school times. Those are what we call true friends i guess, friends who stay with you when everyone else has left.

One of the lines i remembered, "It is strange how we have to go through difficult times in order to appreciate the simpler things in life." I can't help but to feel lucky for what i've been given, and will certainly appreciate them.

diediedie

Never do things last minute anymore PLEASE!

AIB pre-tutorial exercise already doubled my heartbeat rate just now, rushing to get it done to be submitted before 12am. Not a satisfactory work though it won't be graded.

Accounting assignment is another killer, i feel so the super bad for Denesh. He actually started off by sorting out the tables nicely for us already, but what have i been doing with the tables? Seriously thank him for sending the tables and the many many annual reports from year to year.

Only until just now, i started to look at them and realised it requires A LOT of time just to fill up one table. Die.

And what, there are 16 tables waiting for me... one takes up about an hour, so i'll need 16 hours! It's group assignment okay, and i know nobody likes a member who does things at the last minutes. *slaps self*

Recently i have a lot of thoughts running in mind, goodbadhappysad altogether. Besides how i hate myself for procrastinating soooo much, life has been pretty good lately.

* *

Entered a _ _ _ for the first time, i don't think it's a place where i belong.

For that, i lost my bracelet, it must have slipped off my wrist when we were running away from the "bad guys" from curve. Can't blame us, it was dark and quiet, of course we became suspicious of everything. "You watch front, i watch back", it was crazy how we held hands and ran and laughed all the way home.

to just be with a bunch of good friends can easily make my day. little things that happen, little things they say or do, make me realise how much they mean to me.

i am having this sudden rush of missing a lot of people... i hope they do miss me too! xD

Now, I Feel The Stress.

Being the first day of Sem 2, i was a little more excited going to Uni today. Woke up at 9am and i kept on looking at the clock to check if it's time to leave already.

The very first and only lecture for the day was Business Statistics with Mr. Derek, since all tutorials in this week are cancelled. Honestly i was expecting a middle-aged man with a slightly bulging belly.

BUT no, standing on the platform in Audi 5 was a i'm not sure how old (bad at guessing age) man with shoulder length hair and no bulging belly at all. That alone already gave me an impression almost completely different from what i imagined earlier.

THEN, when he started speaking, his voice was different from what i expected too! A tone less deep than i thought. Well, that was after 10 minutes when everyone settled down quietly.

Today's lecture was pretty much about non-academic related stuff, more towards gaining an understanding between us students and him as a lecturer. And what breaking the pride in us, assumptions we have and interpretations we made.

I have to say his one an a half hour lecture did leave an impact on me at least. It was an immediate transformation from a tinge of excitement to a lot of stress after listening to what's being said. Well, "Everyone's going to start from level zero," he claimed.

Note to self: You got to work harder i don't care.

* * *

I better reminisce about some happy moments in the past 3 weeks before my mind gets conquered by nothing else but stress.

In these 3 weeks, i think i've learned to be a happier person in a way. How to say, i am more clear of what i really want to do and get back in return. Something like that.

* I remember something my younger sister said when the internet was down in the first week during the holidays, "You're finally getting a life other than going online." At that moment i was quite angry lo, are you saying i have no life besides going online?

But that one week of surviving without the internet made me realise what she really meant.

At the start i suffered a bit, then i began to do things i normally wouldn't, know more about what's going on with everyone in the family (including Ador). And so nowadays i'm trying to cut down on the time i spend online (it's kinda hard though).

Other than the internet issue, i managed to spend quality time with my family plus some secondary and college friends. Random outings tend to turn out as chatting sessions i cherish much.

* Went for dinner with sister's friends one night since parents were not home, they were very nice helping me to delay time when i needed to stay longer to go straight to Qx's condo the same night.

* Discovered that Krispy Kreme is generous in giving complementary doughnuts, provided you sit in their shop long enough. We saw everyone came and left while we stayed.

* Another weekend, we had lunch with dad's friend. He said lots of meaningful stuff about life which made me feel all different that day.

* Savoured the food at Ming Tian for the first time with Qx, was her bf for the day since it's her Birthday. After dinner, spontaneously decided to deliver apom to Tw and Ql's doorsteps. Something made both of us laughed so hard until we almost suffocated, not enough oxygen in the car. It was really one good long laugh, i even smiled when i thought of it before i slept that night.

* A mini belated Birthday celebration for Qx at Ming Tian once again. Fascinated by Ali's braided hair from Phuket!

* Three consecutive Fridays of teaching the underprivileged kids at the Taman Megah Handicapped Center made me more appreciative of everything. Thanks Qx for bringing me there. According to the coordinator, the children are either abandoned, neglected or abused.

That's why they're living together as a newly formed big family. Due to that, they've not been receiving proper education until beginning of this year. So it's a tough challenge for them to catch up with studies.

Some of their school teachers actually told them to copy the answers from the answer sheet. Is that a sign of giving up on them? Some of the children are really cute and good.

Last Friday i guided a Standard 2 girl through her BM homework, it was exercises on Unit 2 of the textbook - Keluarga Saya. She was asked to write a short passage on her father and draw a Mother's Day card.

I was a little taken aback when i saw how she wrote the passage. Her nama bapa saya... was same as the one in the textbook's cartoon family. Then there was this line, saya tinggal di PPKKCTM. I wonder how she feels deep down inside.

Whatever, wherever, whenever, whoever or however it is, i'm going to live to be happy.

:) One of the children gave me this.

It's Monday already!

Time flies, as always. It's the beginning of a whole new Semester!

I was sucked into a rather emotional group chat on msn, sorry to the supposedly-already-published-post on my holidays. You'll be out later in the day...

Hopefully we'll be able to change our groupings tomorrow, it really upset me when i first saw the groupings they arranged. Yanz and i in a different group as HH and SA again thanks to our surnames from Cheng to Kam to Ng to Wong.

Tomorrow will be a better day :)
